About Us
MISSION
The primary objective of the Iosco County Economic
Development Commission (Iosco EDC) is to secure
and maintain jobs in Iosco and Alcona Counties by providing business loans.
REVOLVING LOAN FUNDS
The Iosco County EDC was originally established to
address economic challenges created by the
1993 closure of Wurtsmith Air Force Base.
RLF 2: The original revolving loan fund "RLF", RLF 2, that
started it all was funded with an U.S. Economic
Development Administration (EDA) grant to aid
the region that was negatively
impacted by the base closure.
RLF 3: RLF 3 was originally funded with a USDA grant, this revolving loan fund is intended for small business loans under $50,000
to be used for equipment, inventory or working capital.
RLF 4: RLF 4 was originally funded in 2020 with an EDA CARES ACT grant to assist small and medium size businesses in Iosco and
Alcona Counties that were negatively impacted by COVID-19.
