PROVIDING ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT THROUGH
BUSINESS LOANS IN
IOSCO AND ALCONA COUNTIES
The primary objective of the Iosco County Economic
Development Commission (EDC) is to secure
and maintain jobs in Iosco and Alcona Counties.
The Iosco County EDC was established to address economic challenges created by the 1993 closure of Wurtsmith Air Force
Base. The U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA)
funded loan program is for those businesses that have been
turned down by a traditional commercial lender for a loan
that will facilitate the ability to maintain or create jobs.
Small and medium size businesses in Iosco and
Alcona have suffered due to the impact of COVID-19.
The Iosco County EDC offers a U.S. EDA funded loan
program for those businesses to assist in their recovery.
Originally funded with a USDA grant, this revolving loan
fund is intended for small business loans under $20,000
to be used for equipment, inventory or working capital.
If you have or are considering establishing a business in Iosco or Alcona Counties and would like information on any of the revolving loan programs please contact us.
